Pomeranian puppies 4
Pomeranian puppies are a highly intelligent breed that is responsive and bright. The Pomeranian (also known as a Pom, Pommy, or Pome) is a breed of dog of the Spitz type, named after the Pomerania region in north-west Poland and north-east Germany. Poms are generally extremely loyal, with a perky nature that demands attention. As Poms have a thick double coat, they should be groomed regularly to avoid knots. Given their desire for attention, this grooming task is quite manageable, even for a novice owner.
Coat:
A Pomeranian’s coat usually takes about one to two years to fully grow and develop into the fluffy adult Pomeranian fur that many adore. As a Pom puppy matures, their puppy coats will shed, making way for their new fluffy adult coat by the time your Pomeranian is one year old.
Size:
Pomeranians are classified as a Toy breed, typically ranging between 20 to 30 cm in height and weighing between 2 to 3.5 kg.
Teacups:
Teacups refer to the size of tea containers, not a specific size of dog. This term is often misused by indiscriminate breeders attempting to mislead potential owners into believing their puppy is ultra-small. Often, these so-called teacup pups are the weakest and least healthy of the litter. We strongly advise looking elsewhere.
Diet:
Pups in this store are fed a fresh meat diet along with a quality dry kibble, mixed at least twice a day. To make house training easier, utilizing a puppy pad can be an effective method.
Exercise:
Poms are an energetic breed, enjoying walks and playing ball. Although they are active, they also relish plenty of cuddle time. It's important to maintain a balanced diet and regular exercise to prevent them from becoming overweight.
Personality:
These pups are full of personality and should not be wary of strangers. They typically enjoy the company of other dogs and do well when socialized early on. For those in areas like Brisbane, Logan, or Loganholme, the right socialization can make a significant difference.
Lifespan and Health:
The expected lifespan of a Pomeranian is between 13 and 15 years. Patellar luxation is a common health concern, and Merle colors are also known to carry genes that could lead to blindness and deafness.
