Cocker Spaniel x Toy Poodle (Spoodle)

A hybrid with intelligence and fabulous looks! Cocker Spaniels are renowned for their friendly outgoing nature so this mixed with the loyalty and intelligence of the Poodle has produced great little indoor / outdoor dog. A sturdy little pup that can play all day but is happy just to be around people, that is what Spoodle puppies should be.

Coat: 

A Spoodle coat should be wavy or curly and be low to no shedding. To keep the coat looking its best a good brush once a week is generally sufficient to keep knots at bay. We’d anticipate 3 to 4 trips to the groomers a year depending on the owner.

Size: 

We expect our Spoodles to get to approx. 7-11kg and 30-40cm. 

Diet: 

Pups in this store are fed a fresh meat and quality dry kibble mixed, minimum 2 x day. 

Exercise: 

Spoodles should enjoy going for good walks and playing ball, they will also be right at home on your lap in the lounge.

Personality: 

These pups should be personality plus and shouldn’t be wary of strangers. They also generally enjoy the company of other dogs, early socialisation is advised to negate any shyness.

Lifespan and health :

 The expected lifespan of a Spoodle should be between 10 and 15yrs. The major problems that can occur include Luxating Patellas (dislocating knee caps), skin allergies (often food related), ear infections and cataracts.
